Who I AM...

I’m Nick Holmes, founder and photographer behind Game Face Productions. Sports have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — from years of playing to later coaching youth teams. That experience gives me a unique perspective behind the camera. I don’t just follow the ball — I anticipate the next play, the next reaction, the next story waiting to unfold.

When my boys began playing sports, I started bringing my camera to capture those fleeting moments — the grind, the teamwork, and the excitement that defines every game. What began as a way to preserve my own family’s memories has grown into a passion for helping other parents do the same, through professional images that capture their athlete’s journey with authenticity and emotion.

How it all started...

Game Face Productions began the same way many great ideas do — on the sidelines. When my boys started playing sports, I brought my camera to their games (whenever I wasn’t coaching) to capture moments of them and their teammates in action. I’d share the photos with other parents, and the feedback was always the same — “These are incredible. Thank you for capturing this!”

The idea really took off after Reed’s 6U Flag Football season. I photographed every game, posted full galleries for parents, and at the end of the year created custom player trading cards for every kid on the team. Each player received a full deck featuring all their teammates to celebrate their championship season. Seeing their excitement when they opened those cards — that’s when I knew I had something special.

We all spend money every year on traditional family photos — the kind where you’re begging the kids to smile. But I realized there’s something much more real about capturing them doing what they love: playing the game.

What started as a passion for photographing my own kids has grown into Game Face Productions, a sports photography brand that helps parents relive the emotion, effort, and pride in every game.
